Early partners include Georgia State, Cooper Union, and West Texas A&M. Significant achievements with our early partners have led to an inflection point in business. Recent results proving the effectiveness of our product in a ++randomized controlled trial at Georgia State University++ have already transformed our sales process.
Job Overview
We’re hiring our first Head of Sales to reach the next level of scale. Applicants should be experienced leaders capable of developing and executing on a sales strategy that will bring conversational AI to colleges and universities across the country.
This is a unique and exciting role for an intelligent, results-oriented, and entrepreneurial person. You’ll be responsible for defining our sales strategy, building partnerships, generating new business, and closing significant contracts with colleges and universities of all sizes.
Your role:
- Develop sales strategy and rapidly iterate value proposition
- Craft customer stories and optimize pricing for new products
- Build a pipeline of new customers and establish new partnerships
- Create and maintain metrics reports on marketing and sales activities
- Analyze sales data to develop insights for optimization
- Help build and manage a growing sales team
What we’re looking for:
- Significant sales experience; higher ed sales background a plus
- Skills and experience with data analysis and reporting
- Proficiency in a sales & marketing automation systems a plus
- Someone with a growth mindset
- Empathy and a deep understanding of nonverbal cues
- Someone who knows what an Oxford comma is
- A willingness to travel to clients when necessary
- The ability to count numbers that don’t start with a $
- Someone who can make us laugh :)
Requirements:
- 5+ years of sales experience in higher education or related industries
- Evidence of success in building a pipeline and closing deals
- Demonstrated experience in leading small to medium sales teams
- You’ve got a college degree but could’ve gotten the same education in $1.50 in late charges from the public library (movie reference, anyone?)
