As part of Global Category Strategy Team, the Senior Category Analyst, Global Category Strategy is a critical role on the Global Category Strategy team focused on delivering analytics, insights and strategic support to our Global Sales and Business Development teams, as well as our Product Development and Marketing/Brand Management teams.
The Senior Category Analyst, Global Category Strategy will be responsible for analyzing data from various regions and countries, assessing market size, category opportunities and competitive landscape by country and making strategic Go-To-Market recommendations as well as researching and sharing insights with Engineering, Product Development and Marketing on new categories that SharkNinja is evaluating for expansion. This is an excellent position for a highly motivated, strategic and creative solutions oriented candidate who is interested in working in a fast-paced, data driven role supporting two of the company’s key pillars for growth – International and New Category expansion!
Core Responsibilities
- Become the expert internally on category markets for various countries, as well as SharkNinja’s product portfolio.
- Analyzing and translating market data into actionable insights on product assortments, pricing, positioning, competitive landscape and market needs to drive relevance and market share gains.
- Identify category gaps/opportunities for assigned countries where SharkNinja offers competitive differentiation and create sales stories that highlight strategic differences our brands and competition, helping to increase distribution, space and displays.
- Serve as voice of category/country/region in cross functional innovation development meetings, highlighting trends and opportunities for expansion within current categories and/or within adjacent categories where SharkNinja has a right to play.
- Assist in developing global breakthrough sales goals by country/category to support demand planning and global brand growth projections. Track & proactively communicate opportunity gaps and risks.
- Leverage market data, consumer insights and independent research to identify or validate new category opportunities for our Innovation Product Development and Engineering teams, assessing the attractiveness and dependencies to successfully launch a new product in the category.

- Experience engaging with and driving / influencing cross functional teams
- Ability to drive objective analytics and make data driven recommendations
- Adept at data visualization and presentation building
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as experience presenting to internal and external audiences
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of relevant work experience within category management or sales analysis
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and detail oriented, ensuring deadlines are met
- Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to present and calibrate on critical challenges to internal and external partners
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience pulling and analyzing syndicated data (IRI, Nielsen, NPD, GfK, etc)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel / Office / PowerPoint skills
