As the Vice President of Corporate and Brand Public Relations for SharkNinja, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing strategies to enhance the reputation and visibility of our company and its iconic brands and products. You will lead a team responsible for managing all aspects of corporate communications, media relations, brand messaging, and public relations initiatives. Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer you will collaborate closely with executive leadership to align PR efforts with business goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:
Priorities and Planning:
- Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies aligned with corporate objectives and brand positioning.
- Identify key communication opportunities and challenges and provide strategic counsel to executive leadership.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and media developments to inform PR strategies.
- Corporate Communications:
- Oversee the development and dissemination of press releases, corporate announcements, and other communication materials.
- Manage relationships with media outlets, journalists, and industry influencers to secure positive coverage.
- Serve as the primary spokesperson for the company, handling media inquiries and interview requests.
Brand Messaging:
- Define and articulate consistent brand messaging across all communication channels.
- Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to ensure brand messaging is integrated into all marketing campaigns and materials.
- Develop and maintain brand guidelines to uphold brand identity and standards.
Crisis Management:
- Develop crisis communication plans and protocols to effectively manage and mitigate reputational risks.
- Serve as the lead spokesperson during crisis situations, providing transparent and timely communication to stakeholders.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute crisis response strategies.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders including customers, investors, employees, and community members.
- Lead efforts to enhance corporate reputation and foster goodwill through community engagement, corporate social responsibility initiatives, and philanthropic partnerships.
Building and Leading and Unstoppable Team:
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing PR team.
- Provide guidance, direction, and support to team members to ensure alignment with organizational goals and professional growth opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10-15+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or related field, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful PR strategies that drive business results.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong media relations skills and experience interacting with journalists and media outlets.
- Demonstrated ability to manage crises and navigate sensitive issues with professionalism and integrity.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable PR initiatives.
- Experience working in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines and competing priorities.
- Leadership qualities including strategic vision, decision-making ability, and team-building skills.
