Position Summary: Chewy is seeking a Sr. Regulatory Compliance Auditor, Safety to join our team and contribute to a safe and compliant work environment! The primary focus of this role is ensuring adherence to OSHA, NFPA, and ANSI safety standards within Chewy Operations. The Compliance Auditor will conduct safety audits, identify hazards, and recommend improvements to mitigate risks, reinforcing Chewy’s dedication to workplace safety and regulatory compliance.

What you’ll do:

  • Conduct regular and comprehensive safety audits in alignment with OSHA, NFPA, and ANSI standards, identifying potential hazards within Chewy Operations.
  • Analyze findings to assess risks and implement effective corrective actions to enhance workplace safety and minimize risk.
  • Document safety protocols, incident reports, and audit findings accurately, ensuring clarity and detailed record-keeping.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions to educate and empower employees on safety protocols, standard processes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to build systemic corrective actions into policy updates, maintaining compliance and reducing process drift across the organization.
  • Stay up to date with evolving regulatory standards and company policies, applying knowledge to continually improve safety procedures and mitigate risks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in internal audit, compliance, or related field preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and ANSI safety standards.
  • Proven experience in safety compliance auditing, preferably within an operations or distribution environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach to identifying and resolving safety issues.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a talent for training and engaging employees at all levels on safety practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, with a proactive approach to risk assessment and process improvement.
