At Chewy, our mission is to be the most trusted and convenient destination for pet parents and partners, everywhere.
The Role

About the Role:

At Chewy, it is our mission to become the most trusted and convenient online destination for pet parents and our partners – vets and service providers – alike. Our success is measured by the happiness of the people and pets we serve, not simply by the amount of pet supplies we deliver. That’s why we continue to think of outside-the-Chewy-box ways to delight, surprise, and thank our loyal pet lovers!

As an Associate Director of Technical Product Management on the Fulfillment Execution Technology (FExT) team, you will lead a team of six TPMs across multiple fulfillment areas (Fresh, Frozen, Pharmacy, 1st and 2nd gen e-commerce). You’ll be instrumental in turning strategic goals into actionable solutions, helping transform how we fulfill customer orders. This role sits within the FExT organization, collaborating with Engineering, Process Integration, and Support teams to deliver flawless execution.

Your focus will be on translating strategic visions into actionable plans, establishing processes, and fostering the growth of your TPM team. You'll ensure strong communication between business partners and engineering, working to improve fulfillment speed and customer satisfaction. Your work will contribute directly to expanding Chewy’s offerings and growing our customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data & Metrics Development: Lead data collection and KPI creation efforts to develop insights that drive business decisions. Use data to evaluate effectiveness, support a data-driven culture, and ensure initiatives are backed by quantitative insights.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor a team of TPMs, supporting their professional growth and guiding them through impactful projects.
  • Product Execution: Work with senior leadership to turn product vision into actionable plans. Set goals, prioritize tasks, and align efforts with the FExT team to meet business needs.
  • Collaboration: Partner with engineering, data science, analytics, and business operations to build systems and features that enhance fulfillment speed, reliability, and scalability.
  • Stakeholder Management: Bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring FExT technology supports overall business goals.
  • Product Ownership Support: Help TPMs manage their backlogs effectively, prioritize tasks, balance resources, and stay aligned with business objectives.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Strong data analysis skills with experience developing performance measures and critical metrics.
  • 7+ years of experience in technical product management, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Ability to gather requirements and design custom technical solutions for enterprise systems.
  • Proven experience managing or mentoring TPMs.
  • Experience developing standardized product management methodologies and processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence across teams.
  • Experience in complex environments like e-commerce or logistics.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Understanding of fulfillment or supply chain operations, particularly in e-commerce.
  • Significant experience in analytical roles or working closely with highly analytical teams.
  • Experience with WMS, WCS, automation technologies, and solution design.

What We Do

At Chewy, our mission is to be the most trusted and convenient destination for pet parents and partners, everywhere. We view pets and pet parents as family, and are obsessed with meeting their needs and exceeding customer expectations through every interaction. Behind the scenes, our talented teams are made up of innovators, delighters, big-thinkers and of course, passionate pet people—creating a place where you'll be empowered to build, grow and unleash your fullest potential.

Launched in 2011, we offer the personalized service of a neighborhood pet store alongside the convenience and speed of e-commerce. Customers love shopping our wide selection of products of more than 100,000 products (including our Private brands and prescription Rx food and Rx medication products), which we offer at competitive prices, fast 1-2 day shipping and around-the-clock convenience that only e-commerce can offer.

Chewy’s commitment to customer service is the core of our brand, and our customers love us for it. We “WOW” pet parents through 24/7 assistance, advice and encouragement every day of the year. We make pet parenting easy with our convenient Autoship subscription program—which allows our customers to schedule their orders, so they never run out of their pet food, supplies and medication they need.

As an e-commerce company, product innovation drives our operations, and our team is constantly striving to find new and better ways to improve our customers’ experience. From an easy-to-navigate website and highly rated mobile apps, to detailed order tracking and personalized “Pet Profile” features, we are transforming the way pet parents shop.

Why Work With Us

We're proud to be one of the fastest growing e-commerce companies of all time.

With growth comes the exciting opportunity to be a part of a world-class organization of engineering, product, and design team members, responsible for driving our latest innovations and designing "out-of-the Chewy box" experiences.
