 Bullhorn is looking for a Manager, North America Project Management Office (PMO) to join our Professional Services team.

Why this job is important:

The Manager, North American Project Management Office (PMO) is a key management position within the Bullhorn Professional Services (PS) organization. The PMO manager is responsible for motivating and leading a team of Project Managers in North America, ensuring a world class implementation experience for Bullhorn's customers The PMO manager drives adoption and adherence to Bullhorn Project Management methodology and best practices. This individual is also responsible for the health of the portfolio within the region and serves as a Functional Sponsor for key clients.

A typical day might include:

  • Guiding/Coaching/Mentoring your team of Project Managers responsible for implementing Bullhorn's software products to our enterprise clients

  • Establishing and optimizing the delivery methodology for enterprise accounts, driving consistency of the methodology and governance by the PM team in implementing Bullhorn's SaaS solutions.

  • Developing and implementing standardized processes, tools, templates and techniques to drive your team's performance.

  • Ensuring development plans and career paths are clear and followed for the Project Managers.

  • Proactively solving short/long term demand needs (versus reacting). Working with Resource Management, Finance and PS Management to ensure capacity and headcount planning is effective. This includes hiring additional PM’s as necessary.

  • Managing conflict and being a calming influence.

  • Providing SOW input and approval.

  • Providing Functional Sponsorship

    • Managing client relationships for key accounts across the implementation lifecycle.

    • Being an escalation point for all engagements and resolving such escalations. Ensuring effective risk management is utilized to limit the amount of escalation.

    • Implementing delivery governance and cross-project best practice pollination and delivery efficiency execution

  • Reporting regular progress to the PS leadership team with regard to the status of ongoing projects, capacity, escalations and other initiatives.

  • Collaborate with PMO and PS leaders in EMEA and APAC to ensure standard practices across regions.

  • Aiding clients with Bullhorn best practices regarding user adoption techniques, rollout strategies, and education plans.

  • Leading and participating in cross functional teams in the development and completion of key efficiency and optimization initiatives.

  • Up to 25% travel to client sites and other Bullhorn offices

  • You have a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on-time, within budget, with high quality and with consistently high customer satisfaction scores 

  • Minimum experience of 3-5 years managing/leading teams of Program/Project Managers in a software implementation setting. This means managing direct reports with budget responsibility.

  • You have an ability to prioritize, delegate and manage several competing initiatives simultaneously.

  • You are experienced in evolving Enterprise implementation methodologies within a software company.

  • You aren’t afraid to take risks and learn from mistakes.

  • You love collaborating with your team, client and partners. And, cultivating relationships.

  • Project planning, execution and continuous improvement is in your DNA.

  • You have a project management background. I.e., you are an expert in project management best practices (e.g., PMBOK, Schedule Mgmt, Risk/Issue Mgmt, Scope Mgmt, WBS, etc...). Expert level proficiency with project estimation methods and project scheduling tools (E.g., Clarizen, Clarity, MS Project).

Bonus points for:

  • Staffing industry experience and knowledge and associated applications

  • SaaS implementation project delivery

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification (or other relevant certifications).

  • Experience with multiple development methodologies (e.g., waterfall, agile, iterative/hybrid, etc.)

  • Clarizen and JIRA experience
