Panorama Education, a Boston edtech company, has acquired Mesa Cloud, an Austin-based graduation management system. Mesa Cloud’s platform helps high school counselors make sure students are on the path to earning their diplomas. Mesa Cloud automatically monitors and flags off-track students and identifies administrative mistakes that can lead to delayed graduations.
Mesa Cloud technology is currently available in eight states and alights with state graduation requirements. Its platform scans student transcripts and schedules against these requirements to track the complexities of local graduation pathways. Since its founding in 2017, Mesa Cloud’s tech has helped counselors resolve more than 500,000 transcript errors across 40 school districts.
Panorama allows schools and districts to measure student performance while providing support throughout a student’s academic journey. The platform helps schools and districts implement the interventions, tools or systems needed to improve student learning and well-being at a local level. Incorporating Mesa Cloud's tech builds upon Panorama’s current offerings.
“Panorama Education is the perfect partner to provide our technology to a growing number of districts and accelerate our mission of increasing graduation rates across the country through helping districts ensure every student is on the path to graduation,” John Kennedy, Mesa Cloud co-founder, said in a statement. “Mesa Cloud’s technology integrates seamlessly with district systems and counselor workflows, moving graduation planning from binders and spreadsheets to the cloud.”
