Keynote Summary: Art Papas, CEO and founder of Bullhorn, gave the keynote speech at Engage Boston 2024 where the topic of the hour was AI and the staffing industry. The session noted that data in the staffing industry needs to be “specific, enormous and actionable” in order to be used by AI. Bullhorn’s blog noted that: “The lifeblood of any strong AI strategy is data. As Art put it, ‘You need specific data. You need a lot of it. Building New Additions: Back in 2021, Stavvy first caught our attention by landing $40 million in series A funding — the largest ever for a New England fintech company. Acquisition News: Linus Health has acquired Aural Analytics, a clinical-grade speech analytics company. With Aural Analytics being a part of Linus Health, researchers and clinicians will be better able to “identify cognitive impairment and better understand the characteristics of those impairments,” according to a press release from the company.
Linus Health Chief Medical Officer and Co-Founder Alvaro Pascual-Leone also stated in the release: “Our voices reveal essential aspects of our mental state and brain function. Technology can extract such metrics with exquisite precision. Aural Analytics has worked in the development and processing of voice metrics, and integrating them with other signals captured by the Linus Health platform will substantially expand our unique brain-health assessment capabilities.”
