Nearly a year after raising a $60 million Series A round, SaaS purchasing startup Vendr has acquired New York-based Blissfully, a SaaS management platform.
The acquisition brings the companies’ total customer reach to more than 500, with a goal of offering users the ability to purchase affordable SaaS while being able to manage it on one platform.
“The software industry is evolving, but the way teams purchase and manage SaaS hasn’t, until now,” Ariel Diaz, Blissfully co-founder and CEO, said in a statement. “Blissfully and Vendr complete the puzzle. Together, we will provide a single source of truth and eliminate the plethora of buying and management inefficiencies that companies face when they go it alone.”
Together, Vendr and Blissfully have processed over $1 billion in software services, according to a company statement.
With its affordable SaaS platform, Vendr works with businesses to speed up software transactions while lowering purchase costs. By analyzing how much a business has spent on software in the past, Vendr is able to find its customers the most cost-effective software to purchase. Its customer base includes big names like The Washington Post and HubSpot.
“Not long ago, Vendr was just a team of three at Y Combinator with a dream to change the way people buy software,” Ryan Neu, founder and CEO of Vendr, said in a statement. “We knew there had to be a better way — that’s why we created the SaaS buying category. Together, Vendr and Blissfully complete the SaaS buying lifecycle.”
Since 2019, Vendr has saved its customers $165 million on their SaaS costs, according to Neu. In 2021 alone, the startup accumulated over 225 employees and is still hiring for nearly 30 positions.
