Avant – Part of Real Chemistry – is a leader in peer-to-peer marketing for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, creating comprehensive communication strategies and plans that deliver superior medical and health education to healthcare professionals across multiple channels.  

The Account Director will lead strategic client partnerships, overseeing the development and execution of healthcare marketing initiatives. This role combines strategic thinking, client relationship management, and team leadership to drive the success of peer-to-peer education programs and other brand initiatives. The Account Director will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring excellence in execution, compliance, and results-driven outcomes. 

What you’ll do: 

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and point of contact. 

  • Drive strategic brand initiatives, including peer-to-peer education and channel strategy. 

  • Provide data-driven recommendations and adjust strategies based on market dynamics, ROI, and competitor activities 

  • Lead the development and execution of peer-to-peer programs, including business planning and forecasting. 

  • Establish metrics to measure success and incorporate learnings into future strategies. 

  • Actively participate in brand planning processes and provide strategic guidance throughout project execution. 

  • Manage and mentor account team members, including Account Executives and Project Associates. 

  • Set clear performance goals, provide feedback, and support professional development. 

  • Forecast resources and assign staff to ensure seamless project execution. 

  • Oversee project budgets, timelines, and deliverables to ensure client satisfaction. 

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with medical, legal, and regulatory requirements. 

  • Contribute to the development and refinement of internal processes, including SOPs and best practices. 

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts and new clients. 

 

Travel: this position may require moderate overnight/weekend travel (up to 30%)

What you should have:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field. 

  • 7+ years of experience in healthcare marketing, agency, or pharmaceutical/biotech industries. 

  • Strong knowledge of peer-to-peer education, brand management, and regulatory compliance. 

  • Proven experience in strategic planning, project and budget management preferred. 

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. 

Pay Range: $110,000.00-$125,000.00

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting.  Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location. Working with Real HART: Since the pandemic, we have adapted to how our people told us they want to work. We have offices in cities with many employees and clients – New York, Chicago, Boston, San Francisco, Carmel (IN), Manchester (UK), Edinburgh (UK), and London (UK) – that serve as hubs where and when they need us. For employees who are within an hour of one of our offices, we expect attendance in the office two days per week, either at a Real Chemistry office or onsite with clients.  We are not looking for attendance for the sake of attendance but believe that the opportunity to coordinate in-office team meetings, 1:1 meetings with managers, taking advantage of on-site learning, and connecting with client partners is a critical to delivering on our purpose of making healthcare what it should be. Outside of these offices, we have regions, where people work remotely but come together quarterly for collaboration, culture and learning opportunities.
