This role is remote and on a contract basis.


What’s the role about?

We are expanding our bootcamp offering and seeking a high-quality instructor to deliver live online classes to our learners. You will take live classes, contribute to curriculum development, and help develop an engaged community of learners. Your work will include:

  • Curriculum Delivery: Conduct live online classes for a diverse group of learners, ensuring high-quality instruction and engagement.
  • Content Development: Develop and refine course materials, lesson plans, and projects, leveraging our extensive Codecademy library as a valuable resource.
  • Student Engagement: Foster an interactive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging student participation and engagement.
  • Assessment & Feedback: Evaluate student performance through assignments and projects, providing constructive feedback to facilitate learning.
  • Learning Assistance: Assist students with technical challenges and address their queries both during and outside of class.

What do you need?

We’re looking for a rockstar professional with real world experience as a full stack developer and a passion for teaching about technology. Here’s what we’re expecting:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus
  • Minimum of 7 years of real-world experience in technology companies, leading impactful projects and workstreams
  • Proficiency in full-stack technologies including, but not limited to:
  • Front-end: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (React, Angular, Vue.js)
  • Back-end: Node.js, Express.js, Django, Flask, Ruby on Rails
  • Databases: SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL), NoSQL (MongoDB, Firebase)
  • DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines
  • Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform
  • Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA)
  • Prior experience in B2C teaching or training roles is desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Passion to share the real-world knowledge you’ve gained!

The target compensation for this position is anticipated to be $75 - $125/hr.
