We’re searching for a Business Development Associate to join our Commercial team. As a Business Development Associate, you’ll be responsible for building market awareness of Asimov and driving new business for the company. You’ll be able to grow into a business development role at a nimble, forward-thinking synthetic biology startup with a global reach. This is an opportunity to help build the future of biological engineering.
About the Role:
- Drive revenue growth: Actively source and secure business opportunities with biopharma companies of varying sizes, ranging from virtual to top pharmas. Your goal is to drive significant revenue growth through these engagements.
- Manage customer relationships: Play a key role in nurturing and maintaining relationships with clients throughout the entire partnership lifecycle, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and engagement.
- Communicate value proposition: Effectively convey the technical and commercial benefits of our offerings to potential clients.
- Structure deals: Work closely with the broader commercial team to develop deal structures that maximize value for all parties involved, both within our organization and for our external stakeholders.
- Engage with industry: Represent the company at industry conferences, both through attendance and exhibition, to network and promote our services.
About You:
- Professional experience: At least 3 years of experience in a business development or sales role, specifically within the B2B biopharmaceutical tools sector.
- Industry knowledge: A deep understanding of the therapeutics biomanufacturing landscape.
- Networking skills: A robust and expanding network within the biopharma services and tools market.
- Customer relationship expertise: Proven track record of managing long-term relationships with clients.
- Technical familiarity: Knowledge of cell line development and upstream process development for biologics and/or viral vectors.
- Educational background: An MBA or Master's degree is preferred. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences coupled with relevant experience will be considered.
