Description
Company

Satoshi Energy is at the forefront of energy innovation, championing the colocation of bitcoin and A.I. data centers with renewable energy generation. As a first mover in 2018, we have nearly 1 GW of data centers operating, with an additional 4 GWs of data center projects under development. We are actively expanding our footprint as our customers push us to grow!

Building on learnings from our extensive development business, we are pursuing an even larger opportunity – fast, accurate, and transparent energy transactions. Despite being advanced industries, data centers and energy suppliers are still limited by antiquated information technology and information asymmetry. Energy transactions are slow, opaque, and inefficient - creating friction between buyers and sellers, ultimately increasing risk and cost. Our software solution, Bitcurrent, enables data centers to transact automatically, 24/7, with digital money.

There will be a future where every kilowatt-hour delivered to energy consumers is settled instantaneously - Satoshi Energy is building this future today.

The Role

Our team brings deep expertise across electric power markets, project development, and software development, positioning us as trusted experts in this rapidly evolving market. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Chief of Staff to work alongside our leadership team to drive strategic initiatives, optimize operations, and enhance decision making across the company. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high growth environment, is a self starter, and is a data-driven problem solver.

Your Day-to-Day

  • CEO and Leadership Support: You will serve as a strategic partner to our CEO and COO, helping prioritize initiatives and drive execution. You will help prioritize and execute daily tasks, prepare meeting materials, and coordinate communication with internal and external stakeholders. This will range from board meeting preparation and investor communication to research projects. By anticipating needs, streamlining operations, and reducing distractions, you will play a critical role in maximizing our Leadership Team’s efficiency and focus.
  • Strategic Projects and Program Management: You will drive high-impact initiatives and cross-functional programs that support the company’s growth and efficiency. From planning and execution to tracking key milestones, you will ensure projects stay aligned with business goals, meet deadlines, and deliver measurable results. Some examples of projects might be implementing a new tool across the organization, launching a new intern program, setting up remote admins, planning a marketing and sales roadshow, or researching international laws and regulations for global expansion!
  • Business Operations: You will oversee the day-to-day operations, optimizing workflows, streamlining internal processes, and ensuring that teams have the resources they need to operate effectively. You will work with legal, finance, and external vendors to manage compliance, mitigate risk, and enhance our team’s performance. You will ensure seamless operations, enabling teams to focus on their core work while you keep the business running efficiently behind the scenes.
  • People Operations: You will be responsible for shaping and maintaining a positive, high-performing workplace culture by overseeing all aspects of the employee experience. You will drive our full-cycle recruiting process, from attracting top talent to seamless onboarding. You will plan team offsites, coordinate business travel logistics, and spearhead initiatives that enhance team collaboration and morale. As a culture champion, you will implement programs that reinforce our company values, strengthen employee engagement, and create an environment where our team will thrive.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
