The InterSystems Data Platform team is hiring an experienced Cloud Product Manager to support the growth of the world’s most innovative data platform. The InterSystems IRIS data platform is the engine behind some of the world’s most important applications. You’ll play a pivotal role in defining & delivering the cloud fabric used across our growing portfolio of world class data-intensive solutions. This role is at the heart of our company, interacting with stakeholders across departments as well as external partners and customers.  

 Responsibilities 

  • Drive the creation of a scalable and sustainable cloud fabric that supports enterprise scale real-time data analytics. 
  • Lead technical evaluation, including driving build vs. buy vs. open source decisions. 
  • Drive product roadmaps, balancing both business and technical requirements, including determining priorities, planning releases, and leading feature & defect grooming processes 
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and project plans, working closely with cross-functional teams, including development, UX, and operations. 
  • Define, monitor, and analyze KPIs to refine our cloud platform. Feed insights back to the business and development process. 
  • Collect & synthesize stakeholder & market inputs to discover key insights and identify market problems & opportunities. 
  • Research competitive solutions, documenting their relative strengths and weaknesses to develop competitive positioning and increase the value of our offerings in the cloud 
  • Track progress, identify roadblocks, and proactively manage dependencies across teams 
  • Act as the subject matter expert (SME), staying informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes. 

Requirements 

  • 5+ years of post-college work experience in product management, focused on technical cloud solutions, infrastructure, or platformBonus points if that experience is with “back end” products, like databases. 
  • Significant experience with infrastructure software, including Kubernetes, Linux, containers, networking, storage, and public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)  
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing the roadmap for Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions that deliverable measurable results 
  • Ability to think through complex problems and translate business needs into functional user stories with clear acceptance criteria 
  • Excellent interpersonal and technical communication skills, including experience communicating technical and non-technical concepts to stakeholders including senior executives. 
  • Familiarity with private clouds. 
  • Familiarity with enterprise SaaS needs.
