This role is hybrid with 2-days per week in our Billerica, MA office.

The Commissions & Payroll Analyst is a hands-on role that requires a strategic thinker with a strong analytical background, who can work collaboratively across departments, has excellent problem-solving skills, and can manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.  The incumbent must possess superior Excel skills with the ability to create, understand, and manipulate advanced formulas and perform data analysis of large sets of data.  The Commissions & Payroll Analyst should also have prior experience with system integrations and be able to understand and troubleshoot when issues with integrations arise.  Prior working knowledge of payroll & commission practices is preferred.

The impact you'll have: 

  • Become proficient with all the company’s commission plans to allow for accurate calculation and tracking of commission payments for sales teams
  • Maintain and update the general ledger interface account mapping and reconcile the general ledger
  • Prepare various payroll reconciliation reports as part of biweekly payroll review with senior management prior to transmission of payroll
  • Responsible for creating and submitting monthly, quarterly, and annual payment files to process commission payments
  • Generate and distribute commission statements and management reports
  • Prepare, review and process US domestic biweekly payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees in accordance with the company policies and federal and state laws
  • Prepare and process employee changes, which may include pay increases, bonuses, commissions, tax changes, banking information, department allocation, insurance deductions, allowances, garnishments, etc.
  • Work closely with the Payroll Manager to ensure policies and procedures are followed
  • Ensure all pertinent information has been entered into the payroll system for accurate annual tax reporting
  • Respond timely to employee and management payroll queries and concerns
  • Collaborate with Sales Ops, People & Culture, and Finace Team to process new hires, terminations and transfers; and ensure sales compensation plans are issued accordingly
  • Partners with Sales Ops and Finance Team in the development and/or redesign of commission plans and support the annual planning process by providing analytical support
  • Collaborate with sales teams to resolve any commission-related issues and ensure transparency
  • Prepare a variety of ad-hoc reports as requested
  • Assist in internal and external audits.

Who we're looking for:

  • Superior Excel skills with the ability to create and manipulate complex formulas and perform data analysis of large sets of data
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of multi-state and federal payroll, tax, and payroll laws and regulations
  • ADP and Workday ERP experience highly desirable
  • Attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and accuracy a must
  • Ability to handle highly confidential issues with appropriate discretion
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong focus on customer service and creating rapport with employees and managers at all levels of the organization
  • Organizational skills to balance and prioritize work under strict deadlines

Required Education and Experience: 

  • Minimum of 1+ year payroll or sales commissions experience with medium size company 
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration preferred 

Benefits and Pay Range:
Pay Range – This role’s range is $60,750 - $99,750. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that Curriculum Associates considers in making compensation decisions based on our Compensation Philosophy. Actual base pay within that range will vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, prior experience and relevant skill sets. At Curriculum Associates, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances for each case. This role is also eligible to participate in the company bonus plan. The Company recognizes that minimum wage varies by location and will ensure all compensation decisions comply with applicable state and local laws.
