Primary Purpose

Provide HR administration and customer support for the business (employee & manager) when it comes to end-to-end HR policies and procedures. Responsible for support in the areas including but not limited to: Benefits, LOA, Training and Development, Employee Relations and general troubleshooting. Provides support regarding employment policies and assists with the directing employees to the appropriate policies and procedures.

This is a remote position available in the United States.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Provide customer centric, accurate, and efficient resolution of issues and inquiries through multiple channels (i.e. phone, email, chat, case management).
  • Assesses customer's level of understanding and where appropriate increase their self-sufficiency by educating customers on self-service support options. Proxy in as the employee when needed.
  • ·Provide support and resolutions for customers dealing with sensitive and confidential information relating to HR issues, including recruiting, compensation and benefits, training, employee relations, etc. and escalate within HR Service Center if needed.
  • Meet daily/weekly targets for resolving employee requests while meeting customer satisfaction survey results.
  • Manage communications tracking for any mass communications initiated by specialists
  • Performs administrative transactions, audits and data maintenance of HR Data as needed
  • Support with state disability programs (i.e. EDD forms for California)
  • Using third party vendor's systems to respond, investigate and support employee questions related to, I-9, employment verifications, Leaves, General Inquiry, Benefits, etc.
  • Responsible for communicating basic LOA and Benefit status information with employees within appropriate time frames based on policy guidelines.
  • Identify, research, troubleshoot, and provide guidance to employees as it relates to HR Systems. (Workday, MATU, Time Express, etc.)
  • Serve as escalation point for LOA Questions as they relate to UI Requests (UI and Hartford Queue)
  • Stay up to date on all BH policies and programs in order to provide accurate and excellent customer service, as well maintain a basic understanding of benefits and leave of absence programs.
  • Continually utilizes knowledge management tools and contributes new, revised, or updated information to maintain accuracy and consistency in knowledge in support of customers.
  • Identify root cause of issues and partner with HR Service Center Specialist or Centers of Excellence through sharing of employee feedback, prioritization, and metrics that qualify impact of issue. Help to provide suggestions or potential solutions.
  • Participates in continuous improvement workshops and projects.
  • Can process in person I-9s for all new corporate hires (VP and above and local to Newton), as assigned
  • Ensure that all Bright Horizons’ policies and procedures are followed and that employees are treated fairly in line with policies and our HEART Principles.
  • Supports peers in the HR Service Center by sharing knowledge, information, and best practices.
  • Provide expertise and guidance to other employees in the HR Service Center Coordinator role.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, 2 additional years of experience would be considered.
  • 2 years of professional experience - Required
  • 1 year of HR experience - Required

Compensation:

The hourly rate for this position is between $24.00-$26.00 per hour. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.

This position is also eligible for performance-based bonus contingent upon qualifying metrics.

Also, depending on hire date and subject to applicable eligibility requirements and accrual schedules, new employees in this role receive up to: 9 paid holidays annually; 40 hours of sick time per year based on full-time schedule, and 64 hours of vacation time per year based on full-time schedule (vacation time may be used for sick leave purposes under any applicable state or local sick or safe time law).
