Work Arrangement:
This role is based remotely but if you live within a 50-mile radius of Atlanta, Austin, Detroit, Warren, Pontiac, Milford or Mountain View, you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum.
The Role:
As an HR Specialist/Lead for U.S. Retirement Plans in Global Total Rewards & Employee Relations you will be responsible for developing strategies, analyzing data, and assessing the effectiveness of our GM Savings Plans. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our retirement plans align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
What You'll Do:
- Analyze Plan data and recommend strategic initiatives for financial wellness and retirement readiness.
- Mentor, train and lead a team of analysts in presenting data in a clear and concise manner.
- Conduct strategic Plan benchmarking including AonHewitt Benefit Index, TAPF, and defined contribution (DC) studies.
- Lead the relationship with third party administrators on benefit design, implementation, communication and on time delivery.
- Ensure defined metrics are succeeding as identified.
- Support the development of Plan language and recommend updates to existing Plan provisions.
- Analyze proposed and current legislative and regulatory changes (PBGC, DOL, ERISA) and recommend Plan strategies accordingly.
- Evaluate marketplace "best practices" and recommend new technology and/or tools to facilitate employee engagement in personal financial management.
- Evaluate and make recommendations for global financial wellbeing solutions as well as support the development of automation to improve efficiencies.
- Review updates to Summary Plan Description(s) and modify based on Plan language modifications
- Support internal and external Savings Plan audits.
- Contribute to the development of training and communications materials.
- Evaluate marketplace best practices and recommend new technology and/or tools to facilitate employee engagement in personal financial processes.
Additional Description
Your Required Skills & Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, finance, business or similar field
- 4+ years' experience in U.S. retirement plans, specifically defined contribution plans
- Must have at least 2+ years in a leadership or management role
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively and independently
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (written & verbal)
- Strong organizational and project planning skills
- Capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently in an accurate manner
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical skills including advanced proficiency with Excel

Compensation :
Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position, as well as geography of the selected candidate. The salary range for this role is $85,100 to $158,000.
Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
