We aspire each day to offer our team a culture that’s guided by our mission and values, and we’re looking to hire an Engagement & Inclusion Specialist to help us foster this culture. The Engagement & Inclusion Specialist will play an important role by managing programs and initiatives designed to improve employee engagement and inclusion at SimpliSafe. 

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee our ERG network, including:
    • Efforts to drive awareness and membership
    • Supporting ERG leads with guidance, resources, and day-to-day support
    • When needed, identifying new ERG leads and volunteers
  • Support ERG programming with onsite and virtual event support, planning, content development, and more
  • With support from People Team leaders and People Partners, execute company-wide and department-specific programs that enhance employee engagement and inclusion
  • Plan and execute events that support employee engagement and inclusion across our US offices and virtually, in partnership with our Workplace Experience team
  • Support employee engagement surveys, office surveys, ERG surveys, and other feedback mechanisms, ultimately using the data to inform programs and address areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with Internal Communications and PR teams on employer branding efforts and internal communications that support employee engagement and celebrate our culture
  • Facilitate in-person orientation in HQ for new SimpliSafe employees biweekly, fostering an inclusive environment from day one 

About You

  • 4+ years of related experience, with a focus on employee culture and/or community building
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to work consistently onsite minimum 4 days per week when we have a new hire class starting and minimum 3 days per week the rest of the time
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships with diverse teams at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to own projects of moderate scope and complexity and take initiative to identify gaps and opportunities 
  • Ability to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving priorities
