PRIVATE CREDIT GROUP OVERVIEW
Bain Capital Credit’s Private Credit Group evaluates investment opportunities across the spectrum in the middle market, which we define as companies with $10-150M of EBITDA located in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific. With a dedicated global team of over 35 investment professionals, we are actively looking to lead or participate in first lien senior and second lien loans; subordinated debt; and preferred or common equity co-investments for traditional leveraged buyout transactions and non-sponsored financings. We place considerable emphasis on investing in leading companies with talented management teams, and aim to provide a tailored solution to every unique opportunity by having considerable flexibility when structuring terms.
Bain Capital Credit is seeking a Product Support Associate to support the Private Credit Group in our Boston office.
Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and oversee the design and maintenance of marketing collateral, including pitchbooks, investor reporting, fund profiles, website content, etc.
- Communicate investment strategies and fund updates internally and externally
- Liaise with global distribution sales team in product positioning and client engagement for fundraising
- Writing investment commentaries for strategy positioning, performance, markets, etc.
- Preparation and monitoring of competitor analyses
- Respond in a timely manner to ad hoc client and prospect requests
- Coordination with the global distribution sales team and investment teams to schedule and plan investor meetings
- Develop and maintain relationships across internal stakeholders, including global distribution sales teams, investment teams, legal, compliance, accounting and operations
Qualifications:
- Strong academic credentials (BS/BA from highly regarded institution) and a demonstrated track record of successful work experience
- 3-5+ years’ experience with an investment management firm, direct lending firm, investment bank, or private equity firm
- Experience with credit managed funds, with preference for private credit knowledge
- Self-starter with the ability to work well under pressure
- Strong organizational skills and relationship-building and ability to work collaboratively in team environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Creative PowerPoint skills and ability to understand financial statements and performance
- Ability to establish priorities, managing multiple tasks and meeting time-sensitive deadlines
