Lead Business Process Analyst
Rapid7 is seeking a Lead Business Process Analyst to join our growing Information Technology & Business Transformation team, to help support the organization as we deliver on our strategic objectives, business critical programs, and process transformations.
We are looking to add a confident and detail-oriented lead business analyst with deep process engineering expertise, enterprise systems experience, and strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills.
About the Team
Our IT Business Analysis team is looking for a dynamic Lead Business Process Analyst with the strategic foresight and focus to drive process analysis and re-engineering cross-functionally in support of our customer and business partner needs. The success of our technology strategy and transformation is directly impacted by our ability to develop a deep understanding of our business processes, including the challenges and opportunities to improve the processes to achieve our strategic objectives and goals.
This is a highly cross-functional role, working across the entire organization to support their priorities with Business Process Management skills (process analysis and documentation, high-level solutioning, and business requirements management).
About the Role
The ideal candidate will be driven, proactive, innovative, and passionate in helping us to look for new ways to solve our business problems leveraging technology, enterprise systems and tools, and operational performance improvements.
In this role, you will:

  • Partner with business stakeholders to create an understanding of the Current State processes (including documentation), the challenges and opportunities, recommended process changes, and high-level business requirements
  • Create meaningful process documentation that is used to drive cross-functional awareness and alignment, prioritize process changes, and help inform the business and technology teams of their scope
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity, improve the customer and stakeholder experience, reduce costs, and minimize waste
  • Present process transformation ideas to executive stakeholders to create awareness, foster accountability, and secure support for the associated work/effort
  • Accurately capture the potential risks and/or organizational change and impacts associated with process changes
  • Provide high-level technical solutions and opportunities to further leverage our core applications
  • Ideally this person will have some experience working with our Tier 1 Enterprise Applications (Salesforce, ServiceCloud, Workday, NetSuite)


The skills you'll bring include:

  • 10+ years as a Business Analyst, with experience working in or with IT and technology teams
  • Broad experience working across a variety of business functions (e.g. Sales, Product Engineering, Business Operations, Finance, Procurement, People Strategy)
  • Executive presence and executive communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, but able to translate complex problems and solutions into digestible information for any audience (including executive management)
  • Experience supporting business stakeholders in their use of Enterprise Applications
  • Advanced skills with process management/mapping software (e.g. MS Visio or comparable application)
  • Advanced business analysis and process management skills (stakeholder interviewing, business process modeling and design, facilitation, data gathering and analysis, requirements management)
  • Possesses the confidence to envision, drive, and implement change and improve on the status quo
  • The ability to work effectively with other business analysts, key stakeholders, and development teams to understand the business and functional requirements and translate those requirements to scope for the technology teams
  • Resourceful individual that enjoys solving complex problems, requiring cross-functional collaboration and the facilitation of conversation across a variety of business domains
  • Preferred - Professional certification in process engineering or related areas
  • Strong work ethic and customer service mentality
