Model Maker

We are looking for a Model Maker with strong hand and communication skills to join a small team of highly skilled Modelmakers and Paint technicians within SharkNinja engineering. The successful candidate would have the ability to help deliver multiple projects on time, communicating with key partners and teammates to align with project priorities and deliver 5-star models and prototypes.  Happy working with and reporting at all levels of the business. 

Here are some of the EXCITING things you’ll get to do: 

• Assist team members in our Model Shop, surface preparation of 3-D printed parts, sanding, filling, priming, and masking of parts for final paint 
• Possesses a working knowledge of machinery and equipment common to a model shop environment to include vertical mill, lathe, band saw, drill press, vacuum forming. Knowledge of 3-D printing a plus. 
• Collaborate with internal design and engineering teams to meet project goals and timelines.  
• Perform maintenance in the general work area. 
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills 
• Reliable and self-motivated 
• Excellent verbal presentation and communication skills 
• Willing to learn and develop new skills 
• Industrial spray-painting experience preferred  

ATTRIBUTES & SKILLS: 

• 2+ years’ experience in a Prototype Model shop environment. 
• Bachelor’s degree preferred with a concentration in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, Model Making or related discipline.
