Remote (U.S.-Based)
Full-Time
Base Salary: $100,000–$125,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Apex Growth is hiring a Performance Marketing Lead (Paid Social) to drive campaign performance across Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and emerging platforms. This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you’ll own measurable outcomes like ROAS, CAC, and testing velocity — not just manage platform execution.

You’ll work directly with cross-functional leaders in Creative Strategy, CRO, Analytics, and Client Success to scale paid social for high-growth brands like Shopify, Amazon, and TransUnion.

What You Will Own

Drive Channel Performance

  • Manage budgets from $100K–$1M+/mo across Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest

  • Optimize ROAS, CAC, conversion rate, and media efficiency across funnel stages

Own Creative & Testing Strategy

  • Collaborate with creative and CRO teams to brief, test, and iterate on ads

  • Build creative testing roadmaps that scale results and reduce fatigue

Scale & Evolve Channel Mix

  • Lead platform-specific strategy and audience segmentation

  • Pilot emerging platforms with clear testing goals and success metrics

Experimentation & Data Analysis

  • Run structured experiments (A/B, lift studies, incrementality) to validate ideas

  • Analyze data using GA, attribution models, and reporting tools (SQL, Tableau, ChatGPT ADA)

Forecasting & Planning

  • Own budget allocation and media planning

  • Build data-backed forecasts and communicate confidence levels

Client Communication & Collaboration

  • Present performance insights and strategic shifts in writing and live reviews

  • Partner across departments to drive integrated, high-velocity growth

Who This Role Is Not For.

This likely isn’t a fit if:

  1. You’re a generalist or strategist who prefers oversight to execution. This role is hands-on and requires full campaign ownership.

  2. You’ve only worked with <$50K monthly budgets. This role involves enterprise-scale execution across multiple channels.

  3. You’re early in your media buying career. While there are always exceptions to the rule (and if you are the exception, we’d love to meet you!) In general, we’ve found that marketers with at least 4 years of paid social ownership have the tools and experience needed to be confident in this role.

  4. You execute but aren't as comfortable driving strategy. This role involves building hypotheses, analyzing results, and refining direction — not just launching ads.

  5. You need tight structure and low feedback. Our team is high-autonomy, fast-moving, and feedback-rich.

Who You’ll Work With

  • David Mausolf (Co-Founder): Your direct manager and strategic growth partner

  • Maggie Valiunas (SVP, Growth & Creative Strategy): Creative collaboration, narrative testing, and client alignment

  • Cross-functional leads: Teams in CRO, Analytics, Ops, and Engineering

What Apex Growth offers:

  • A great flexible remote work environment—equal parts laid-back startup and motivated meritocracy

  • Daily opportunities to grow your technical skills and capabilities & professional development opportunities within the organization

  • A highly accomplished executive team with a plan to scale Apex Growth, that works with you to become a major player in the growth marketing agency space

  • A competitive salary and bonus structure

  • 401(k) with company matching

  • Generous (and by generous we mean unlimited) PTO

  • Paid Vacation, Paid Bereavement, and Paid Family Leave

  • Full Health Benefits (Dental, Vision, Wellness)

  • Learning and career development program

These benefits are applicable to Apex Growth, US based, full-time employees only. 1099/Contract Providers are ineligible for these benefits.

Still wondering why you should consider joining the Apex Growth team? Hear from Apex Growth Co-founders David Mausolf and Dave Riggs talk about what sets us apart.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
