The Opportunity
The CFPMO is defining and executing how the Corporate Functions should operate across project and program management in order to help execute the department goals and objectives. The Corporate Functions Project Coordinators are the critical component of the project team and thus help ensure that the project achieves its objectives. The Project Coordinator will be on the front lines supporting Project Managers and will be responsible to schedule and coordinate project specific tasks and activities.
A successful Project Coordinator should have a general background or experience within the corporate function domain as well as project management. They must be task-driven and detailed orientated while having clear and concise written and verbal communication skills. The incumbent will be supporting the Project Manager throughout the project life cycle as well as across the Program Management Office to help define and reinforce CFPMO project standards.
The Team
The CFPMO was established to oversee the execution of initiatives across Corporate Finance, Enterprise Risk, Investment Management, Law, and HR & Employee Experience, as well as define and own project management standards across the company. The team is focused on creating more visibility into this work, while enabling better improved prioritization, collaboration, and execution.
We are a newer team of self-starters who enjoy solving complex business problems, with proven track records of excellence in project management and the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in dynamic, complex environments. The Impact:
- Responsible for coordinating the team meetings/huddles, project plan, project budget and other key project artifacts across the project team
- Actively listen, participate and document key meeting outcomes and action items thus serving as one of the primary point of contacts for project information and updates
- Assist with oversight and coordinating project status, budgets (actuals, plan and forecast), milestones and risks, actions, issues, decisions (RAID) logs
- Prepare presentation materials to communicate the team's overall progress to achieve its goals and escalate any risks, issues and/or decisions where appropriate
- Prepare and support project artifact preparation and maintenance
- Support the onboarding and offboarding activities of project resources and be the de-facto onboarding representative for the project
- Ensure Project Managers complete required weekly and monthly tasks, following the CFPMO cadence
- Handles small project tasks and coordinates or performs activities as needed
- Troubleshoot issues with process, tools and/or reporting
The Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years of project management experience within a PMO
- Previous experience working in financial services or insurance organization
- Strong knowledge in Excel, Smartsheet, Jira, Sharepoint, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Bachelor's degree

- Demonstrated success in a role requiring strong attention to details, teamwork, and initiative
- Strong Organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively using verbal and written methods to all levels of an organization
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient experience with Project Management tools including but not limited to: Atlassian Jira, Zephyr for Jira, Smartsheets as well as MS Office Suite (Project, Teams/SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
- Is either a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) or is interested in attaining certification

Salary Range: $80,000.00-$105,000.00
