Job Overview |  

The Renewals Operations Analyst will be responsible for providing operational support to the Renewals Sales team, driving efficiency in the renewals process, analyzing data to provide insights, and ensuring that all contract renewals are managed effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, experience in sales operations, and a deep understanding of SaaS contract renewals. This role will report to the Manager of Sales Operations. 

 

Key Responsibilities | 

Operational Support: 

 

  • Develop, manage, and optimize processes and workflows for the renewals team to ensure timely and accurate contract renewals. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and Legal to streamline the renewals process. 

  • Implement and manage tools and systems that support renewals operations, ensuring data accuracy and process efficiency. Provide day-to-day operational support to the Renewals Sales team, including managing renewals pipelines, tracking key metrics, and resolving issues as they arise. 

 

Renewals Analysis & Reporting: 

 

  • Analyze renewal sales to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. 

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide visibility into the renewals pipeline, performance metrics, and key business insights. 

  • Provide regular reports and insights to the Head of Renewals Sales and other key stakeholders to support strategic decision-making. 

 

Contract Management: 

  • Manage the end-to-end renewals process, ensuring all contracts are reviewed, negotiated, and executed in a timely manner. 

  • Track and manage contract expirations, ensuring proactive engagement with customers well in advance of renewal dates. 

  • Collaborate with the Legal team to ensure all renewals comply with company policies and legal requirements. 

 

Process Improvement: 

 

  • Continuously evaluate and improve renewals processes, identifying areas for automation and efficiency gains. 

  • Develop and implement best practices for renewals operations, ensuring consistency and scalability as the company grows. 

  • Lead or participate in special projects aimed at improving the overall effectiveness of the renewals process. 

 

Customer Engagement: 

 

  • Work closely with the Customer Success team to ensure a seamless transition from post-sales engagement to contract renewal. 

  • Analyze customer feedback and satisfaction data to identify areas where the renewals process can be improved to enhance the customer experience. 

  • Support the Renewals Sales team in preparing for customer renewals meetings, providing data and insights to inform discussions. 

 

Risk Management: 

 

  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with contract renewals, such as potential churn or pricing objections. 

  • Develop and implement strategies to minimize renewal risk and maximize customer retention. 

 

Qualifications: 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or a related field. 

  • At least 4 years prior experience in sales operations, renewals management, or a related field within a SaaS or technology environment. 

  • Ability to analyze information and present insights clearly. 

  • Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), Excel, and other business reporting tools. 

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments. 

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills. 

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic global environment and adapt to changing priorities.
