Our Platform and Systems Engineering Group is seeking an experienced Product Engineer to join our team in Boston, with experience in bringing a product to market, strength in analog/digital/mixed signal circuits, and electronics validation and verification. Our team works cross-functionally to advance applications in areas including biotech, energy, autonomous systems, and many more types of intelligent edge systems. You will be a key functional contributor and work to refine and elevate early electronic system prototypes into minimally viable products, and sometimes beyond.

What you will do:

  • Electronics design and iteration towards productization.
  • Create and execute test plans against a set of product requirements and specifications.
  • Hire and supervise sub-contractors as needed.
  • Make build-versus-buy decisions of whole systems or sub-blocks.
  • Design for test and manufacture (DFTM) definition & development to improve testability, quality and reduce cost.
  • Hardware and system bring up, development of test plan and protocols, debug, evaluation, and validation in a lab environment.
  • May be responsible for product and system verification against industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in building Embedded Systems HW and productization.
  • Strong fundamental knowledge of Analog, Digital and Mixed Signal circuits.
  • Proven experience in full cycle of PCB development from schematics to bring-up and debug.
  • Hand-on experience with lab equipment.
  • Solid problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills.
  • Effective communication, judgement, and teamwork skills are essential.
  • BSEE with 5+ years or MSEE with 3+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination.

What experience is a bonus:

  • Experience working in a startup environment.
  • Mechanical design for electronics enclosures, heat sinking and proper cooling.
  • Experience designing and debugging power electronics.
  • Experience with simulation tools such as Matlab/Simulink, LTSpice or similar.
