Our Footwear Development Senior Associates play a key supporting role in evaluating new product collections for manufacturing viability and leading in-process development projects. Working cross functionally with internal teams and external vendor partners, this role collaborates with Design, Engineering, Production, Quality Assurance, and Product Planning to assess, cost, and launch performance footwear. A Footwear Development Senior Associate must have excellent relationship building skills, a relentless attention to detail, effectively navigate grey areas, ensure timely follow through and project completion, and embrace change to perform in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain Development timelines for assigned Footwear styles and projects, communicating updates and key stages to all stakeholders
  • Review development samples with Design and Engineering teams, summarizing and communicating feedback to factories and/or vendors
  • Review factory costing and identify inconsistencies or concerns, resolving or elevating as necessary
  • Build genuine internal and external relationships with the continual goal of improving product and process
  • Manage and update tech packs and BOM’s in collaboration with Engineering and Design teams

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Document SOP and process for product creation and related projects/tasks
  • All other duties as assigned by the Footwear Development Director and/or leadership team
  • Participate in evening calls (1-2/week) with our development team in China and/or factories in Asia, as needed
  • ~5% - 20% regional and international travel

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of product development and production experience, in footwear and/or apparel preferred
  • Proficient in product life cycle management software, Apple products, MS Office Suite, & Zoom
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a team player mentality
  • Relentless attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills
  • Takes ownership of work and output, with the ability to anticipate needs and act proactively
  • Flexible, embraces change; ability to prioritize multiple competing priorities and move between them quickly
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills; ability to consider a project/problem from multiple viewpoints
  • High energy and a can-do attitude, with the willingness to navigate grey areas and ask appropriate questions
