Who you are:
We are seeking a Structured Finance Associate to help structure and execute capital markets transactions as part of our Capital team. In this role, you will support all aspects of capital markets transactions, including marketing and investor outreach, investor due diligence, transaction structuring, term sheet review, transaction execution and implementation, and post closing relationship management.
We’re looking for a candidate who has an understanding of capital markets, is highly organized and process oriented, and communicates well with both internal and external stakeholders. This is a highly visible role, offering the opportunity to engage directly with senior leaders at Hometap and counterparts in all sectors of the industry. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work in a high-growth environment are critical, and candidates with experience in structured finance or securitization and a desire to learn about our business and all its component parts will thrive in this role.
What you’ll do:
- Assist Capital team with counterparty due diligence process, including preparing responsive documents, presentations and coordinating diligence/onsite meetings
- Conduct market research, evaluate comparable transactions and maintain a database of key transaction terms
- Maintain up-to-date investor marketing materials, respond to investor inquiries, and develop materials responsive to evolving market conditions, investor feedback and new product/structural developments
- Support management of the capital pipeline CRM, including tracking status of investor inquiries and follow-up action items
- Create, organize, and permission data rooms
- Participate in Capital team’s transaction structure discussions and evaluation of term sheets
- Support Director, Structured Products, in execution of securitization transactions and related platform maintenance matters
- Work closely with all Finance, Investor Support, Business Operations, Sales and Underwriting teams to become familiar with Hometap’s business
- Work closely key stakeholders to build the infrastructure to support the company’s current and future capital raising initiatives
What you bring:
- At least 2 years of capital markets, structured finance and/or securitization experience in financial services, consulting or a similar professional services company
- Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets; modeling experience is a plus
- Proficiency with presentation tools (PPT, Google Slides, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Highly organized and process oriented, with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working in highly entrepreneurial and collaborative environments
- Experience using diligence/data room and/or CRM tool (e.g., Salesforce) are pluses
- Bonus points: Experience with mortgage finance or proptech
Our people are our most valuable asset. The salary range for this role is $110,000-$140,000. Base salary may vary depending on relevant experience, skills, geographic location, and business needs. In addition to base pay, Hometap offers equity, paid time off, health insurance, and other benefits.
