As our Technical Project Manager, you will… 

Spearhead high-impact digital initiatives within our Technical Services Group, serving as the critical bridge between development teams and clients by translating complex technical guidelines into actionable project plans. In this role, you will own the entire lifecycle of multiple technical programs—dynamically allocating engineering resources, forecasting budget burn-rates, and preemptively mitigating technical risks—while championing agile agency processes and QA collaboration to ensure the flawless, on-time delivery of sophisticated technical solutions.

Be Accountable and Responsible

  • Manage multiple projects within MERGE's Technical Services Group (TSG) projects, ensuring adherence to scope, delivery dates, team resourcing, and tasking across the project lifecycle
  • Communicate technical guidelines to the internal team and clients for effective execution of digital programs
  • Update internal client teams on project progress and manage communications, reviews, and feedback
  • Coordinate team resources and task assignments based on project deliverables and plan
  • Present project parameters and checkpoints to set client expectations and ensure timely delivery of quality deliverables
  • Provide detailed progress reports and forecasts to internal teams and Account Management
  • Analyze project hours to forecast burn and identify potential risks to timeline and budget; recommend mitigation strategies
  • Assist with contingency planning, problem resolution, and maintain schedules, budgets, and quality deliverables
  • Track changes in scope, actual hours, and make appropriate adjustments to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Keep leadership informed of project progress and raise concerns promptly
  • Collaborate with quality assurance team for testing of TSG projects and programs
  • Facilitate collaboration, manage conflict, and effectively communicate project information across departments
  • Show ownership of the agency process and enforce its use with the team
  • Determine creative ways to allocate teams and distribute responsibilities
  • Share lessons learned and best practices across departments
  • Identify areas for internal improvement and develop implementation plans

These are the qualifications we’re looking for

  • 3-5 years of experience in managing small to medium-sized marketing operations and work management projects
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Marketo and Workfront, including the ability to manage projects in the systems and understand the technology being managed
  • Experience with Smartsheet, Jira, and Confluence is required
  • Prior experience working in marketing/advertising agency operations environment is required
  • Knowledge of the Marketo project life cycle (e.g., migration, integration) and be able to identify scope changes
  • Strong project management skills, including monitoring and reporting on project status, budgets, schedules, and resource management
  • Understanding of information architecture and user experience best practices
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

The salary range for this role is $60,150 - $100,350, based on the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
