What You’ll Do:
As a Technical Writer, you’ll play a critical role in developing and maintaining product documentation, user guides, API docs, and internal knowledge bases. You’ll work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, UX Designers, and Customer Support teams to ensure our users—both technical and non-technical—have the information they need to successfully engage with our platform. Across all roles, we look for future team members who will live our values of being BOLD (Bias to Action, One Team, Lead by Example, Dumpster Diving Data Mavens).
- Create and maintain comprehensive product documentation including user manuals, release notes, knowledge base articles, API reference guides, and system overviews.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly content.
- Build instructional materials to help customers interpret complex analytics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather technical information and validate documentation accuracy.
- Ensure documentation aligns with regulatory and compliance standards relevant to healthcare (e.g., HIPAA, HITRUST).
- Develop and maintain documentation templates, standards, and style guides.
- Continuously review and improve documentation based on customer feedback and usage analytics.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, Journalism, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in technical writing, with a strong focus on healthcare or health IT products.
- Demonstrated experience communicating complex technical topics and quantitative data analytics to a business audience.
- Proven experience working in a SaaS environment and collaborating with product and engineering to ensure product documentation is updated as part of the standard release process. .
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experience documenting APIs, integrations, analytics, workflows, and software features.
- Experience documenting AI / machine learning and data science features and outcomes.
- Solid understanding of healthcare terminology, workflows, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of documentation tools such as Confluence, MadCap Flare, Git, Markdown, or similar with experience incorporating these tools into development processes..
Set Yourself Apart:
- Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems, claims processing, or healthcare data interoperability (e.g., HL7, FHIR).
- Experience with agile development processes.
- Background in UX writing or instructional design.
- Experience working with data products
Expected Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000 base + bonus
This is a hybrid role based out of Boston, MA or Chicago, IL.
