Overview

As the Vice President - Product Development Quality & Manufacturing you will serve as a trusted partner to the Executive Leader for Ninja to ensure Globally, that all products meet rigorous product quality standards, overseeing manufacturing quality for new product development and implementing best practices across production processes. Overseeing 25+ subcategories for Quality, Manufacturing and Testing, you will be expected to ensure the overall effectiveness of the company’s operations, focusing on revenue growth, cost savings, quality improvement, and maintaining a competitive edge in the marketplace.  

Here are some of the exciting things you'll be doing 

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the company's consumer product quality strategy in alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
  • Product Risk Management: Identify potential safety risks and quality issues, and implement effective risk mitigation strategies. 
  • Innovation and Improvement: Drive innovation in safety and quality and testing practices, staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies. 
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports to senior management on product quality performance, including key metrics, compliance status, and improvement initiatives 
  • Oversee Crisis Management: protocols, investigations, and reporting of quality issues, market withdrawals and recalls, and implementation of internal audit control processes

Manufacturing Operations:
• Oversee the entire manufacturing process, ensuring that production meets compnay standards and customer expectations. 
• Develop and implement manufacturing strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality. 
• Lead capacity planning and production scheduling to meet market demand and business objectives. 
• Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence. 

Product Quality Assurance and Compliance: 
• Ensure all products meet the highest quality standards and comply with industry regulations and company policies. 
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems to monitor and control product quality. 
• Oversee internal and external audits, inspections, and certifications to ensure regulatory compliance. 
• Manage quality control teams and processes to identify and address any issues in a timely manner. 

Strategic Leadership: 
• Collaborate with the Ninja ELT Leader to develop and execute long-term manufacturing and quality strategies. 
• Lead the development and execution of manufacturing and quality-related projects, including new product introductions, process improvements, and technology upgrades. 
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the manufacturing and quality teams.

Vendor and Supplier and SubSupplier Management: 
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and suppliers to ensure the availability of high-quality materials and services. 
• Negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance to ensure cost-effective and reliable supply chains. 

Product Testing and Validation:
Providing leadership and management to the test engineering teams for new and existing products.
Collaborating with R&D to improve product designs based on test results. 

Here are some of the things you'll bring 

  • 10+ years of industry experience, 5+ years of executive leadership experience in manufacturing, quality, and operations. Proven track record of product manufacturing and process improvement.  
  • Strong consumer product manufacturing and quality standards experience . 
  • BS degree in Engineering and/or Business Administration. 
  • Proven track record of managing large budgets, including multi-million-dollar CAPEX. 
  • Strategic, conceptual, and operational thinker with a strong business acumen. 
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and influencing skills at the senior level. 
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment. 
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with and influence key stakeholders as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive breakthrough solutions. 
  • Professional with a high level of integrity who leads by example and take corrective action where necessary. 
  • Ability to travel internationally approximately 20% of the time.
