Position Overview - Web Developer: At demandDrive, we believe remarkable talent, enthusiasm, and creative thinking add up to great work. We are searching for an experienced Full-Stack WordPress Developer who is self-motivated and strives to work alongside a talented, innovative team that can quickly adapt to building within proprietary WordPress frameworks and design systems. In this role, you will be responsible for developing frontend and backend web architecture, working with our design and marketing teams to execute the agency's client goals, and above all, ensuring an excellent user experience. The agency's Full-Stack Developers see the project from conception to final product, requiring strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop a semantic, responsive, and optimized frontend using modern approaches to web technologies (CSS/JS/HTML).
- Build custom WordPress themes with ACF Blocks (Advanced Custom Fields Blocks).
- Immaculately translating visual designs and assets from Figma.
- Implement custom server-side functionality and properly architect 3rd party integrations.
- Optimize older sites and systems (front-end and back-end).
- QA for industry-standard devices and cross-browser compatibility.
- Work alongside graphic designers to elevate the experience through design implementation.
- Seeing a project from conception to finished product.
- Scope projects and provide recommendations for alternative, more efficient solutions.
- Stay abreast of new and emerging web technologies.
- Use AI tools to code efficiently.
- Efficient technical problem solving with an emphasis on business goals and strategies.
Job Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience as a WordPress developer.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Self-motivated and team-supportive attitude.
- Proficiency and high-level experience developing with WordPress ACF blocks (Gutenberg Block experience is a plus).
- Proficiency with frontend build tools and task runners: npm, gulp, webpack, etc.
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JS, including cross-browser compatibility and performance.
- Familiarity with and perspective on JavaScript frameworks, including TypeScript and React.
- Intimate familiarity with WordPress Codex and PHP.
- Familiarity with MySQL.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to walk through relevant code on a screenshare at a second interview.
