POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manager, Content Strategy, is a core member of the Content Strategy team within the BMCHS Communications organization of the Marketing and Communications department. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Content Strategy, the Manager, Content Strategy will play an integral role in generating high-quality and engaging content. The Manager, Content Strategy, will work collaboratively with Marketing and Communications peers and internal and external BMCHS stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of professional editorial experience in digital media, journalism, communications, or a related field. An entrepreneurial mind-set and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment are essential. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
- With the support of the Senior Manager, Content Strategy, sets the editorial direction and tone for BMCHS external blogs
- Oversees editorial content for BMCHS blogs, including recruitment of experts across BMCHS, external subject-matter experts and community partners; review of their contributed content; and co-creation of compelling stories that considers system goals and stakeholder perspectives
- Maintains editorial calendars and organize content for publication using a Drupal-based content management system and AirTablePrepares, writes and edits informative content for bmc.org
- Prepares, writes, and edits persuasive content for Marketing materials
- Supports Senior Manager, Content Strategy as editor/proofreader across Communications tactics
- Works collaboratively with Marketing and Communications colleagues, subject matter experts and freelancers and/or agency partners to develop content
- Partners with the digital marketing team to optimize all content for search engines
- Partners with the social media team to promote content on platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram
- Contributes to Communications innovation and Communications compliance (e.g. adherence to style guides, alignment with key messaging and consideration of stakeholder and reputational factors)
- Must adhere to all of BMC's RESPECT behavioral standards

Undergraduate or graduate degree in journalism, communications, or a related field

EXPERIENCE:
