As we embark on an ambitious mission to amplify our presence, we need a visionary PR Specialist in Boston to elevate our brand and narrative on the global stage. You will be crucial in helping drive our strategic initiative to transition from a traditional software company to a leader in software development.
In this role, you will:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute creative PR campaigns that align with our corporate branding
  • Strengthen the corporate perception of MacPaw as a unified software leader. This involves coordinating internal communications and external PR campaigns to reflect our unified brand message
  • Position MacPaw as a thought leader by highlighting our innovations, C-level leaders, and expertise through various media channels and resources
  • Conduct detailed analyses of PR campaign metrics to generate insightful reports that guide future PR strategies
  • Pitch media proactively to link MacPaw with broader news narratives, enhancing our market visibility
  • Monitor and analyze the media space in order to stay informed on relevant topics, as well as identify possible reputational risks, promptly respond, and protect the perception of the company and its brand
  • Organize events and activities in Boston to boost local brand awareness and community presence


Skills you'll need to bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in PR, marketing, or related communications roles
  • Exceptional writing skills, with the ability to craft clear and compelling messages.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing media relations, event participation, and sponsorship engagements
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in monitoring and optimizing PR metrics
  • Familiarity with media platforms and databases (ex: Muck Rack, Cision, Meltwater)
  • Excellent collaboration abilities, working seamlessly with diverse, cross-functional teams
  • Experience working in the tech industry or with public companies will be a major plus


This full-time position requires a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, with flexible hours. Occasional after-hours work may be necessary. The role is based in our Boston office, where your presence is required at least three days a week.
